So I've been more than a little slack. I have pictures from the last fortnight, but really can't seem to manage to get round to uploading them! We have bumbled along pretty much as usual. I do have a new pair of DMs - purple, shimmery and lovely!
We've bought ourselves a new, smaller tent to take away for weekends and such. It folds up pretty small and only weighs 16kg, so we should be able to fit everything in the car!
Tilda enjoyed the tent show as usual!
I don't think there's much else to note. Steve's eye has held up for a couple of weeks now so is doing well!
Today we went to Grampsy's for a magnificent dinner of roast lamb and a gazillion vegetables - we saw Great Grandma and Grandad beforehand. After dinner we had a walk around Grampsy's garden and then out into the village.

A long overdue catch-up
I tried yesterday, but I couldn't get Blogger to work properly. Ah well!
Friday was cake-club at Laura's. It was nice to have Nyree there! I managed to kick the wagon with my little toe and ended up with a purple, poorley foot. humph.
Saturday - Nyree and squidlets came for the afternoon.
Sunday - we did the entire week's shopping on foot using the wagon and trolley! Tilda went for a very short ride on her bike - it hurts her wrists apparently!
Monday - waited for the wagon canopy to arrive. Its really good, but does render the entire thing huge! It certainly makes doors difficult! We took a trip to the chippy to try it out and Tilda sat in the shade to eat hers. I wish I fitted!
Tuesday - I had the dentist in the morning to replace a filling that has fallen out four times. I think he did a better job this time, but the anaesthetic has worn off now and it feels a bit sore. We collected my parcel of wool from the post office - Kauni Effektgarn EQ. There was a surpise 50g ball of the black/grey colourway in there too and I'm thinking it might look good with the rainbow. hmm.
Tilda has been practising tandem wrapping and we are waiting to hear from Steve. He thinks his retina has yet another tear.

This morning Matilda demanded 'schoolwork' so we set about finding some for her to do! We had a woodland visit logbook from the Woodland Trust's Nature Detectives site which she has (mostly) filled in about her visit to the woods in Rolleston the other week. We went and printed off some pictures to stick in it too - pics to follow tomorrow. She also took her tick-box spotter charts and a clipboard - we saw blue, yellow and red butterflies and I picked up a good dose of hayfever. The trees are all in flower - I may have to avoid walking that way for a few weeks.
This afternoon I've been cutting out frogs for the children to decorate at the ELEPhant meet on friday and have managed to find the table under lots of junk.
This enabled us to sit together and eat our dinner nicely. Winnie smooshed up a pear and sucked on some corn tortilla. She seemed very proud of herself. I doubt very much that anything went in as her gag reflex is still pretty strong, but we're in no particular rush and she seems happy to just suck things.
Here she is in all her sticky, pear-juicy glory!

Trip to the library
Taking a break from yet another of Tilda's ridiculous tantrums to write this. I'm so fed up with it. Everyday has a battle and I really struggle to like her much sometimes. She's currently sat in the porch, screaming for her Daddy, who won't be home for another 5 hours.
Asides from the stroppiness, we had quite a pleasant trip to the library. On Thursday Dave is bringing some frogspawn over for us to look after and observe, so we went to see if there were any books on frogs, Not really, as it happens! Highlights of library trips for me is using the self-scan automatic check in/out things - they even have a card reader for paying fines with! Our library is actually very beautiful - it has wonderful stained glass and a beautiful mosaic outside. Lots of lovely tulips!
I've been and bought some card for friday with the ELEPhants - going to make some frogs with movable legs to decorate. Got me some paper fasteners and some sticky dots too!

Sunny Saturday
Well Steve found my phone in the downstairs loo - so that's all good!
He also went for his eye appointment and is now officially blind as a bat and can get a new pair of glasses for under £100 - unfortunately we may have to spend the rest of the set-aside money on taking the cat to the vet. She's not been able to keep any food down for two days now and there is cat sick everywhere. She's not very happy, bless her.

Tilda and Steve have started on the garden - Tilda isn't quite so keen on gardening after all, as this pic will testify.
She is far happier to shop for gardening supplies!
We seem to have a vast quantity of ladybirds in the garden, so here are a vast quantity of ladybird pictures! And some gnomes for Devena!
I've finished painting the wooden toys too!
